MARTHA SMITH-JANSSEN

Martha Smith-Janssen is an accomplished professional executive recruiter with over 15 years of experience in leadership assessment, recruiting and development programs. After earning a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Furman University in 1991, Martha completed a series of training programs to certify her in sales and management skills for her role in a major staffing company, Spherion. In this role, she became a recruiting expert as well as a sales leader, managing 14 sales offices for the Atlanta market.

From this eight-year foundational career, Martha was recruited to Christian & Timbers, one of the fastest growing of the top ten executive search firms in the country. Martha transitioned from managing enterprise-wide staffing projects for large companies to focusing on key executive search projects. In her role at Christian & Timbers, she elevated her abilities to find, assess, and recruit top talent into Fortune 500 global clients, including Cisco, Symantec (Veritas), eLoyalty, and Unisys.

Martha extended her professional experience as a top recruiting manager in financial services at Key Bank. Before joining Selker Leadership, Martha was the global recruiting manager for the $2B Truck division of Eaton Corporation where she participated in a wide range of talent assessment, development, and recruiting programs.

At Selker Leadership, as a Vice President, Martha leads projects for Selker clients in Performance Values Assessment (PVA), supporting both executive recruiting and leadership development projects. She is a professional practitioner in all aspects of the Selker Leadership System and brings value to her clients by assisting them in finding, hiring, and developing the very best talent.
